In the coming months, Mark Engle, DM FASAE CAE, along with author and association consultant, Mary Byers, CAE, will lead sessions of ASAE’s Exceptional Boards: Strengthening the Governance Team.

At events still open for registration in Scottsdale, AZ and Charleston, SC, Engle and Byers will facilitate intensive two-day workshops for chief staff executives and their elected officers to strengthen leader relationships and enhance the board’s performance. The workshops cover

• strategies for building a cohesive board
• roles and responsibilities of the chief staff officer and the board
• creating an effective chief staff executive/board chair relationship
• developing a leadership team action plan.
